Over recent years, Bordetella bronchiseptica (Bb) has also been isolated in
more and more catteries suffering from respiratory disease outbreaks.
In some cases isolation has been from breeding colonies and
catteries known to be free of respiratory viruses. The effects of an outbreak can be
devastating as highlighted by the case reports selected here. It should be noted that names
and addresses of the affected catteries have been omitted to protect those concerned.
